For 100 years, Vicks®, the maker of NyQuil®, DayQuil®, and other cough, cold, and flu products, has been committed to treating and relieving your symptoms, helping you feel like yourself again. These products, when used as directed, are safe and effective.
Recent studies have suggested a dangerous trend among teenagers and young adults concerning the intentional abuse of over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription medications. Experts agree that most parents are still not aware of this behavior, and more education is needed so that parents can talk to their children about medicinal abuse.
At Vicks, consumer safety is our primary concern. We want our products to be used only for their intended purpose, and to be used as directed. That's why we've teamed up with the Consumer Healthcare Products Association. Its website, www.stopmedicineabuse.com, provides parents with the resources and information they need to communicate with their children, and guides those suffering from cough, cold, and flu symptoms to make informed and educated decisions.
